Well I never expected not having any time to blog... LOL! Two kids keeps you super busy but I love it. We've had a crazy holiday season so far. For Halloween my mom came up to help me out. We had such a great time with her. Growing up, my mom always made each holiday super special and I would like to pass that down to my children. I'm not as creative as she is but I've been watching a lot of HGTV to get some ideas. Here's Halloween...
Carsen loves to smile for the camera...
Once again, here's that Carsen pose...
I think this was mom's idea. After we did this I couldn't get him to leave the pumpkin alone.
Who's the bossy boss? Carsen is the bossy boss. Here is Carsen telling Grandma how to carve a pumpkin. Like she hasn't carved 100's before... just like his daddy.
My sweet little pumpkin Chloe. She's only 2 weeks old here.
"The Crew"
Grandma and Carsen eating a booger on a stick. That is what they called it.
Carsen and his good friend Cole...
Yea Daddy!
Thanksgiving this year was a tough one. This was the last holiday I was able to spend with my Dad. He loved this holiday because it always brought the family back together around the table. Just like when we were growing up. His presence was really missed this year. It just wasn't the same. And no matter how many times I try, my mashed potatoes will never taste as good as his. But I will keep trying.
We are starting our own traditions here at the Dennett household. I've started cooking my own feast. Yes... I know what you're thinking. I can cook. It's really basic right now but give me a few years. We had all of our kids together and it was wonderful. Travis had a smile on his face the entire day. Preston made his Grandma Lea's famous chocolate dessert and Travis made the turkey. We won't talk about the turkey....LOL! Overall Thanksgiving was a success.
The Dennett Kids...
Ha! I used to say the Dennett boys but not anymore!!!
Preston and his little sissy! Not sure about girls yet.
Tyler and Chloe's first meeting. What a proud big brother!
Aunt Jane getting some Chloe time...
Anyone need a babysitter? I think Chip is available?!?! Yikes!
Cousin Lauren loves babies...
Our Thanksgiving prayer...
The lighting in this video is poor but the message is strong. Myssy did an AWESOME job. This was one of my Dad's favorite songs. Please take a moment and listen to the words. It's not just any "Amazing Grace". After hearing the version it gave me a picture of what my Dad might be doing in heaven. Thanks Myssy for sharing this with us.

Loved "Amazing Grace" - I can see Pop and your Dad sitting together in heaven.....
Gosh she can sing! Beautiful.
Amanda I loved Carsen and the Pumpkin pic. I was so cracking up at him... He is a yummy thing. That pic of Chip was hilarious, he got so enamored by her he almost spilled that drink. Her told me later when he got home he did not want to put her down...
I totally missed dad too. I have always hated hearing myself sing. Its like nails to a chalk board...When Aunt Jane and Tom asked me to sing that day I thought there would be no way I would get through that song. Its was one of the only songs Dad would sing it church out loud(on key or not)...HE Loved that song and Of coarse "O Holy Night". Its funny though when I sang this one I pictured Dad holding my had the whole time while I sang. I can't believe I got through it. I only choked up twice! Whoo Hoo... Love you so much Amanda...
I loved seeing the pictures of the kids...they are all getting so big. The halloween pictures were adorable, but my favorite one was of Chip babysitting...so funny!! We need to get together soon!
p.s. Too bad I don't have speakers on my work computer to hear Myssy...I will try to watch from home soon!
