Well the day has arrived that my baby has officially turned 1. Carsen has gone through so many changes over the last few weeks. He is now taking more steps. I wouldn't say he's walking but getting real close. So much chatter. Sometimes I think he's really saying things... like he's answering me. He has officially said Ma Ma!!! YEA! It only took Travis leaving the country to get him to say it. But it's so cute. Now I know how Travis has been feeling this whole time. Another thing he is doing lately is dancing. Anytime any music comes on he starts to bounce. I'll post a video of him doing this later.
Here are a some of my favorite pictures from the last week. Enjoy!
Carsen preparing for his party. Loly pops make this a lot easier. This was his first one.
Always has to share.... I love this about him!
As you can tell my theme was "little prince" even though he's a "little monster".
Mom, Mary and I spent all week preparing favors and decor for the party. All the kids had personalized crowns to wear for party hats. It was super cute.
Ok... I may have gone a little overboard with decor but couldn't help it. He had to have a banner!
I can't believe all the compliments we got on this cake. I think it was the hit of the party. My mom made this cake... not a bakery. She has made all of our birthday cakes over the last 42 years. She's had a little practice. Thanks Mom!
Carsen wasn't that into the cake. Mainly because it was nap time.
Here we go sharing again... :-)
Yea.... a smile from the Birthday boy!
He loved the balloons. They were all over the house.
Yes... Carsen is sitting on top of the presents. LOL!
Carsen and his AWESOME Grandparents! One smiling from Heaven.
He wasn't too interested in opening presents but he LOVED playing with the strings.
It took us 2 days to open all of his presents. You can only imagine. He loved everything he got. My living room now looks like Toys R Us. Thank you to everyone who helped, traveled, and participated in making Carsen's 1st Birthday so special. It will be a day that will be cherished in my heart forever....
Love,
