My "Mr. Happy" is 8 Months...

My little guy is changing so much every day.  His baby face is slowly disappearing. He's becoming a little boy.  It's sad and AWESOME all at the same time.   His latest thing is the teeth (he has 6 now). He doesn't know what they are. He makes these funny faces like he's chomping on something... and he's not.  He lights up every moment of my day.  The noises that come out of his mouth are hilarious. His vocabulary consist of ba ba, da da, goo, mmmm, and occasionally a ma. The singing never stops. It's so funny to see him try and figure things out. You can just see his mind working constantly.

This is Carsen eating on an apple with a teething bag. He loves it. His shirt says "Mr. Happy"

Carsen is always getting into something... you can't take your eyes off of him for a second.

Our road trip to Arkansas. His shirt definitely says it all!

Our First Visit to the Park

Our day at the park....  It was a BEAUTIFUL day!

This was his first time in a swing.  He wasn't real sure about it. I think he lasted just for a picture. Then he was done.

Biter Biscuit Monster!

Enough with the squash, sweet potatoes, and green beans!!!! I want the real stuff.  I just don't understand. I have 4 teeth now and 2 more on the way. What am I supposed to do with them? You would think my parents would have clued in by now with me biting the spoon and showing them how I can chew food that doesn't need chewing... duh!  What does a boy have to do to get something cool... like a biter biscuit!
OMG... The moment has arrived! Finally! Now what? It looks really big. Ok... here I go. Wish me luck!
Hmm... this isn't bad. It's yummy actually. Kinda like a cookie. So they say... don't tell mom or she might not let me have anymore. She's the fun police. That is what daddy calls her all the time.
I'm still acting like I'm not sure because I know she's watching. I'm really quite enjoying it.

Oh yea! Sugar has kicked in.  These are kind of messy. I'll have fun tonight in the bath with Daddy. Maybe I'll poop again in it. :-)

Have you guys met my sock monkey? It was a gift from my big brother Preston. I love him. He hangs out with me in the back seat. He lets me scream at him.

This is Tiger my kitty. He goes meow. I practice that all the time with Mommy and Daddy. I have that noise down. I can also make a cow sound... moo.

And now my mom always feels it necessary to add a video. I believe it's of the cookie. Oops, I meant biscuit.

7 Months and Three Teeth!

Carsen is 7 months and 4 days old. The last week has been really tough. Teething has not been our friend. His bottom 2 teeth are in. The top right tooth has broken the skin and the top left one is real close. It just seems like it's happening so fast. He gets cuter and cuter every day. I love laying in the floor playing with him. Watching his facial expressions while he figures things out is priceless. You just wonder what is going on through his head. His latest thing is kisses.  I think he totally understands what a kiss is. I especially love it when he grabs my face to give me a big open mouth wet one. It just totally warms my heart. Being a mother is the greatest feeling.

Here's the latest video of Carsen. He is now pulling up on everything. I'm just waiting for that first fall. It's not too far away.

I got Two!

Ok... I finally got a picture of Carsen's new little additions(teeth). This has been such a task. This is also his first time to wear a shirt without snaps in the crotch. He's becoming such a big boy. There is no way I can take my eyes off of him now. He is crawling all over the place. I looked up and he was standing at the coffee table. Not sure how he got that way. We had a photo session this morning for fun.... so ENJOY!

This picture is not staged. He really loves the remotes and phones. He will do anything to get to them.

How do you like my new camera? I love it! Thanks baby!  You're the BEST!

Christmas Vacation-First Tooth- Crawling

We started our Christmas vacation going to Arkansas.  We had such a great time. It's been a while since the whole Dennett family (Travis, me, Tyler, Preston, and Carsen) has gone on a road trip. Carsen is getting better riding in the car.  We spent 3 days hanging out with the Wolf family. Carsen was all over the hotel in his walker. Everyone knew him by name by the time we left.
Here's Carsen taking the wheel.  " Where to now?"
He's so advance. Driving at 6.5 months. :-)

When we got back from Arkansas we had to make a quick trip to see Santa Claus. Carsen did real good. He didn't cry at all. Tyler and Preston were eager to tell Santa what they needed. They were hoping it wasn't too late.  It was 5:30 on Christmas Eve. Nothing like waiting until the last minute. That is how the Dennetts to things. :-)

Later that evening we went over to Teresa and David Robertson (my cousins) for a holiday feast Italian style. Teresa really out did herself. Her food was absolutely delicious. Yummy!!!!!
Carsen hung on for as long as he could then just passed out. He was excited about Santa's arrival.

Carsen's first Christmas...

He woke up to more than one surprise that morning. He got his first tooth! And there is no way he will let you look at it. Much less take a picture of it. He's real sensitive about it.  He loved ripping into the presents and then eating the paper. Thanks to everyone for your gifts. We really had an awesome day! It was our first Christmas waking up with all the boys.  A real blessing.

Mommy's present taste good!

"Can someone get my glasses... I think it says it's from Santa Claus!"

Later that night we went over to Lara and Justin's house to exchange presents. It seems that every time we go over there Carsen has a first. Well once again he did. Carsen crawled for the first time on all fours. You can hear Lara's baby in the background.

Myssy's Christmas Concert

Hello Everyone! Merry Christmas!!!

I'm such a proud sister... I just have to share this with you.  On December 19th my sister Myssy had a Christmas concert.  I was very excited because I haven't heard my sister sing in such long time. And if you know my family we love to entertain the masses.  Myssy is such a talented singer.  I knew this would be an fun event but I has no idea what an emotional wreck I would be. She has such a way of grabbing your heart when she sings.  This is not a professional recording but you can get the picture of the message. I hope you enjoy this much as much as I did.  BTW... she just had a baby 4 weeks prior.

Just click on the title of the song.

This is my Dad's favorite Christmas song. She sings it every time like she is singing it to him.

I thought this was the cutest song about a Christmas puppy. Enjoy!

This song had a special meaning to me. I think I cried the entire time during the song. You can tell at the end, Myssy had a hard time getting the words out.  You'll understand once you listen.
It didn't help that I was sitting on the front row. :-)

My new favorite Christmas Song.

Thanks Myssy for reminding me what Christmas is all about!  I love you!! Amanda

Watch your volume on the following video. It's my clip and I was sitting  very close.
Myssy and her little girl Peyton. She is going to be just like her mama!

Carsen LOVES the bath.   I think it is absolutely his favorite thing to do.
This is usually time he spends with Daddy.  He just adores his Daddy. I'm not jealous at all. :-)
He's as white as the tub! LOL! He gets that from me.

Carsen in the Christmas Spirit.

This is our K-State look.

I'm so close....

Halfway to the First Birthday!

Carsen is 6 months old today. This kid is really growing. I'm not kidding. He weighed 17lbs and 11.5 ozs (50%). Here's the kicker. He's at 28 inches (90%). That is 3 more inches than his 4 month appointment. I guess  he is going to be tall like his Daddy. The doctor also felt 2 teeth buds. Yea!

His latest venture is the walker. It only took him 2 days to figure it out. Now he is all over the place. It's time to start baby proofing the house. I've already had to plug up a few outlets and wrapped up the cords from the blinds. He loves anything hanging.  We are really starting to see his personality come out.  I have a feeling he is going to be a rambunctious little boy. He definitely knows how to get your attention.

Shout out to Grandma Ulli and Grandpa Larry for the early Christmas present! Carsen LOVES it. Thank you!

High Chair and Singing....

Carsen has now moved into his high chair. The days of the Bumbo Chair are OVER.  They were nice while they lasted.  I just couldn't keep his concentration in it. He was constantly wanting to grab anything around him.  Nothing was safe. He loves the high chair. He even has a high chair song he likes to sing. Here is a clip of the song while Grandma Ulli  is feeding him.  Enjoy!
